HOG Profile - Lynda Fogerson

1) When and how did you first get into riding a Harley? My 30 year old daughter bought one and Stan decided we needed one, too. I thought he was crazy because I wasn't the "biker" kind of person. When he bought a 1990 Heritage Softail, I rode behind him about a month and decided I needed one of my own so I bought a 1994 Heritage Softail.
2) How long have you been riding? 10 years
3) What is your favorite trip or place to ride? Love the Colorado Rockies or any mountains, trees, and twisty roads. In 128,000+ miles and 44 states, we have had so many wonderful trips.
4) What gives you the greatest thrill while riding? Taking in the awesome grandeur of our beautiful America that God created for us to enjoy. And being able to negotiate twisty curves when I was so terrified of them when I started riding.
5) What is your best memory associated with riding? Going on our trip to Alaska. When Stan started planning it, I never really thought we would go, but I'm so thrilled that we did. He's a fantastic trip planner and navigator.
6) What do you do in your 'other' life and how does your Harley fit in with that? For 25 years, I was a county Extension agent (adult and youth education), but now my retirement funds help finance our Harley road trips.
7) What is your philosophy of riding? I will borrow this quote that expresses it pretty well ? "Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming ? "WOW, What a Ride!"
