HOG Profile - Kenneth Kniffen
1) When and how did you first get into riding a Harley? I bought it from Kent's in January, 2006, after taking the Rider's Safety Course in November, 2005. My dad owned a motorcycle shop in the 1930's and I always had an interest but could not justify buying one until all our kids were out of college and on their own.
2) How long have you been riding? Since January, 2006.
3) What is your favorite trip or place to ride? New Mexico Mountains or River Road in Big Bend National Park.
4) What gives you the greatest thrill while riding? When I have been working three or four weeks straight and I get on it too ride anywhere and following my favorite tour guide with friends.
5) What is your best memory associated with riding? The New Mexico State Rally in 2006, the ride from Sante Fe to Red River in the cold and light rain and we made it back to Sante Fe safely.
6) What do you do in your 'other' life and how does your Harley fit in with that? I farm custom hay bailing and coastal sprigging and raise a few cows and a little hay.
7) What is your philosophy of riding? If the weather is too bad to enjoy the ride stay home and be safe.
