HOG Profile - K Dunne
" />1) When and how did you first get into riding a Harley? I started in 2009 as a passenger. I took the MSF course as a safety measure. After that weekend...I couldn't wait to have my own. I got a 2009 Sportster Low and am currently riding the wheels off of it.
2) How long have you been riding? Since Halloween of 2009.
3) What is your favorite trip or place to ride? My most recent trip...and my longest so far, was to Meers in Oklahoma. Lots of twisties and a delish burger at the end of the day. We also road Route 66 out of El Reno.
4) What gives you the greatest thrill while riding? The rush of independence. Even though I may ride with a group, I always have to ride my own ride and you have to ride your own ride.
5) What is your best memory associated with riding? Rolling up to Kent's on New Year's Day and making the brunch run, for the first time, with the HOGs. Everyone was so welcoming and kind that I knew I had found my tribe.
6) What do you do in your 'other' life and how does your Harley fit in with that? I work for a tiny division of the Hearst Corporation just to fund my riding habit, and to buy food, but mostly to fund the ride.
7) What is your philosophy of riding? Firstly, it is all the things you can't explain and a non-rider wouldn't understand. A close second is the fact that pigtails and a bandana on your head is a legitimate hairstyle!
