HOG Profile - David Ridgeway

1) When and how did you first get into riding a Harley? I bought my first Harley in 1980. It was a 1979 Electra Glide, I paid $5,600. Before that I rode a couple of rice burners.
2) How long have you been riding? I started riding in the mid-1970's but got away from it for a while and started again about two years ago.
3) What is your favorite trip or place to ride? I love to ride any place any time I can. It's all good.
4) What gives you the greatest thrill while riding? Freedom, in the wind, the open road.
5) What is your best memory associated with riding? All rides are memorable, whether solo or with a group.
6) What do you do in your 'other' life and how does your Harley fit in with that? In my other life I ride to work whenever possible. It seems as though Harley-Davidson is a common denominator with a lot of inmates. They like to talk about them, even though they are locked up. Every time I go to work at least one inmate asks me if I rode my bike to work.
7) What is your philosophy of riding? Live to ride, ride to live.
